The reveals are up for the 2009 HP Beholder Fest, a celebration of the 'less' appealing characters of HP (although they are not at all less appealing in the hands of this crew). Go read, there's some fabulous stuff up there! In particular this year, there were some very fine Viktor Krum fics and some very fine Millicent Bulstrode fics. I so love this fest!
I wrote/illustrated Fruiting Bodies for LittleBlackBow. My fic is cracky and illustrated with sculpture. ( Why sculpture?

I had to draw something for DD and I was inspired by the cute little Goyle/Millicent story made by a Mystery Author for me at HP-Beholder over here. (Thanks, Mystery Author!)
Mystery Author wrote me a fairly clean story, so I hope she does not mind that I drew an NC-17 drawing inspired by it for my DD assignment. And I only had time to paint the pertinent parts. Oh, well. The drawing is over here. And I seem to be late with it, too. Shoot. |

Wow, I can not wait to find out who wrote this. If it's someone I don't know, I'll have to go read their entire works.
If it's someone I do know... wow, I just can't guess yet. How long till they tell us, I wonder. =D
...This is the first time I've participated in an anonymous fic exchange thingie quite like this. I'm afraid I haven't tailored my offering to my assigned recipient anything like this spectacularly. And this fic I got is so awesome! OMG! I hope the person who randomly got assigned to receive my thingie will be gentle with my newbie offering. Oh, well, I tried.

Hey, look, it's my work for SALE on eBay! I'm selling 3 chicken paintings, a fish painting, an owl wizard painting, and a bracelet I made with my silver dog beads. Go take a peek. My reserve price is a dollar. (Yeah, that's less than the price of materials, but the shipping is from New Zealand, so read to the end.)
I'm finding making paintings on canvases that don't need a frame quite satisfying and I really just want to buy some more canvases. Here's some tiny (10x10cm) strawberries I just stuck on the kitchen wall:
I'm going to try selling a few things (a horse and a rabbit, I think) on New Zealand's version of eBay (trademe) and see if people will pay more for a painting there since they'd have less to pay for shipping. (ETA: up on TradeMe here.) If not, if making a profit is not workable through online methods, and if I end up with walls over-covered with canvases, then we'll just have to see. But this will be a fun experiment. =)

We've been doing the tourist thing with LittleSister. We went to http://www.staglands.co.nz/ to pet the animals. And feed them. You buy little bags of food and the animals see them and come up to you for breakfast.

Meesto's little sister has arrived! That was Friday. Also on Friday Meesto, Little Sister, and I went to see the cast and crew screening of the film that Meesto has been helping his friend out with. (Actually we both helped at assorted times. Actually our names were both plastered all over the credits. Actually I did the graphic design on the credits.) It was a horror film, which is usually not my kind of thing, but it came out quite good, considering its microbudget. If it gets into any festivals, I'll let you know.

Well, it's been forever since I posted. Meesto is fine and now I can go think about other things. Like art. It's seriously time for some more art. I need to go make a mess. I can't seem to do any art while sitting around waiting to find out if my sweetie is okay. But while I wasn't doing art, I was cleaning. It's a useful habit- instead of chasing my own tail until I fall down twitching, I just clean the house. The house looks awesome. And I also painted the kitchen yellow. Here's the results of my cleaning/waiting.
